  • Join Alex on a Brooklyn Heights food and history tour and learn all about America’s oldest suburb. We’ll discuss the area’s past, from Dutch farmland to one of New York’s most elegant neighborhoods. We’ll follow the neighborhood’s demographics over time, from a provincial enclave, to a working class Jewish and Italian community, and eventually into Brooklyn’s most exclusive neighborhood.

We’ll weave our way through the Brooklyn Heights Historic District, stopping at several National Historic Landmarks along the way. Other stops include Brooklyn’s Borough Hall, several famous 19th century churches, the Brooklyn Heights Promenade, Brooklyn Bridge, Fulton Ferry Landing, and DUMBO. If time allows, we may even stop by a few celebrity mansions!!

Guests should arrive hungry because we’ll enjoy delicious treats from several local businesses, including Croissants from a famous French bakery, potato latkes and smoked salmon from a classic Jewish deli, and NYC style pizza from an iconic local pizzeria. As usual we’ll skip the lines at each neighborhood institution!

Along the way you'll have plenty of time to ask questions and engage with Alex on any number of topics. Tours are casual, flexible, and fun, so bring your curiosity, appetite, and a comfortable pair of walking shoes!

This tour is perfect for groups, students, networking events, corporate events, families, or anyone looking to experience New York City’s food, culture, and history in a new way!

  • Alex will meet you at a predetermined location, and the tour will begin. Tours are flexible, and we arrange everything, so you can simply focus on the experience!
