Reviews:
“I did the Chinatown and Little Italy tour with my parents while they were visiting from overseas and had a wonderful time. Alex really knows his history and we made sure to put his knowledge to the test with a solid battery of questions about food, the surrounding neighborhoods, and the architecture. He was an amazing guide, and we really thoroughly enjoyed our time. We had a major hankering for soup dumplings and Joe's Shanghai didn't disappoint! Then we moved on for some antipasto and desert in Little Italy. Highly recommend the tour if you have friends and family coming, or just to learn a bit more about the neighborhoods and enjoy some delicious local cuisine.” - Brian Ecclefield, Founder of Validated Claim Support, Greater New York City Area
“Fantastic! We did the Lower Eastside tour which I’d highly highly recommend. Filled with interesting history, intriguing stories, and fascinating insider facts. Treated to delicious foods throughout the tour, truly iconic bites of NYC. Had a group of local NYC friends, family & out-of-town guests. Everyone loved it. The pace was upbeat & lively; Alex kept us on the move. Unlike others tours we’ve done, things never got slow or bogged down. Tour highlight: white fish & bagel chips from Russ & Daughters. (literally just started salivating as I wrote that). And the pastrami at Katz’s deli (not to mention getting to skip the two hour line because we were with Alex). Our group of friends is already planning on the next two tours we want to do with Food Strolls.” - Jason Hsiao , Co-founder & President at Animoto in New York City
“Alex, thank you so much for an amazing tour of Harlem! Your knowledge of the city, fun stops, great energy, and delicious cuisine made our food stroll an awesome experience! Hoping to catch another one of your tours in another part of town.” - Vanessa Hawkins, Director of Community Life at Redeemer Lincoln Square Church, New York, NY
