  • Experience the real new York City by joining Alex on a food tour through Jackson Heights and Corona, Queens. This Latin American street food adventure stops by all our favorite hidden gems, including bodegas, taco stands, street vendors, food trucks, and bakeries. We’ll be eating the best camarones, pupusas, arepas, tlayudas, fritada, chicharrones, tacos, croquettes, and alfojores the streets of Queens have to offer!!

But this isn’t just a Queens food tour. We’ll also discuss the history of Queens, its relationship to NYC’s subways and bridges, and the borough’s past and present day demographics. We’ll talk about the roaring overhead 7 train, and how it became known as the “International Express”. As we enjoy the neighborhood’s delicacies, we’ll learn how and why Corona transitioned from a Black, Italian, and Jewish area to a Latin American mecca.

Finally, we’ll meet some local business owners with inspirational real life stories about the neighborhood! Along the way you'll have plenty of time to ask questions and engage with Alex on any number of topics. Tours are casual, flexible, and fun, so bring your curiosity, appetite, and a comfortable pair of walking shoes!

This tour is perfect for groups, students, field trips, networking events, corporate events, families, or anyone looking to experience New York City’s food, culture, and history in a refreshing way!

  • Alex will meet you at a predetermined location, and the tour will begin. Tours are flexible, and we arrange everything, so you can simply focus on the experience!

  • “We had a great experience. Incredible tour, original places, delicious food and the BEST guide.” - Lucia Roman Canivell, Digital Marketing Coordinator at the Brooklyn School of Languages

“Alex did a great job with our Jackson Heights food tour. He is very well versed in the area’s history, architecture, and what makes their food scene tick. The food choices he shared were varied and amazing. I hope to be able to do another tour with him in the future!” - Stacy Bergmann, Senior Marketing Manager for Cargill Protein

“We had a fabulous tour of Queens with Alex. We are all New Yorkers and thought we knew a lot, but we were amazed by how much we didn't know about NY's history, architecture, cultures, and neighborhoods. Alex has designed all aspects of the tour so thoughtfully - alternating between walking, eating, and looking/talking. We had so much fun, even on a hot day. These tours are for everyone - tourists and New Yorkers alike! We are looking forward to our next one!” - Katherine Sorel, 3rd Grade Teacher at PS146 in New York City
